Richter’s Restructuring team recognized with international acclaim

‘Awards like this are certainly humbling to receive but we’re grateful as they reflect the consistent hard work of our team’

TORONTO, ON – On behalf of all our partners and professionals, Richter is pleased to share that our Canadian Restructuring team has received top recognition in the “Consumer Discretionary Deal of the Year $50MM to $100MM” category at the 11thannual Turnaround Awards.

“The award winners represent the best of the distressed investing and reorganization industry in 2016 and earned these honors by standing out in a group of very impressive candidates,” said David Fergusson, Co-CEO and President of The M&A Advisor. “In an environment that is increasingly demanding of its professionals we have recognized the leading transactions, firms and individuals that represent the highest levels of performance.”

This transaction was led by Partner Paul van Eyk and Vice President Pritesh Patel of our Toronto office. “It is a privilege to represent our clients through very challenging and complex transactions and to have worked with the many of professionals both in Canada and the United States on this deal; awards like this are certainly humbling to receive but we’re extremely grateful as they reflect the consistent hard work of our team of professionals,” says van Eyk.

The Turnaround Awards will be held on March 23rd in Florida, as part of the 2017 Distressed Investing Summit. The ceremony recognizes the top deals, firms and professionals in the industry, as judged by an independent jury of industry experts.
