‘Tis the season for recruitment!

Meet our Richter Ambassadors of 2020

In these unprecedented and uncertain times, it’s nice to know that some things never change! Take the four Canadian seasons for one: pool season, hockey season, tax season, recruitment season…

While this year our recruitment events will be a little different, we wanted to remain true to who we are: a family of dynamic and unique professionals from different cultures and backgrounds working as a team to guide our clients throughout their journey – helping conquer challenges and celebrate victories, together.

While students might not get to bump into our Richter Ambassadors on campuses in September, to keep everyone safe we’ve decided to go virtual this year! Check out our upcoming virtual events.

In the meantime, we asked our Richter Ambassadors some questions about their Richter experience so you can get a sneak peak of what it’s all about!

Richter in one word? Supportive

Why did you become a Richter Ambassador? I wanted to become a Richter Ambassador because after completing my summer internship and seeing what a great firm Richter is and what they have to offer their students, I wanted to help recruit future students to join in order to have them experience what I did and be a part of the Richter family.

What do you enjoy the most about being a Richter Ambassador? My favourite part of being a Richter Ambassador is definitely attending all the different recruitment events that Richter holds because I get the chance to talk to so many different students.

Richter in one word? Collaborative

Why did you become a Richter Ambassador? Accepting my role as a Richter Ambassador was a no brainer! My recruitment and internship experiences were unforgettable and beyond any of my expectations and I felt that being an Ambassador was my way of being ‘home away from home’ and of making Richter a part of my global lifestyle.

What do you enjoy the most about being a Richter Ambassador? I love showing my passion for Richter through my Ambassador role! Meeting people who are interested in joining the Richter team (or what we prefer calling it, the Richter family), sharing my love for Richter with people, and telling people about my experiences with Richter is something that excites me!

Richter in one word? Dynamic

Why did you become a Richter Ambassador? The recruitment process can be overwhelming for many students. When I went through the process, I remember how welcomed I felt when visiting the Richter office and when meeting Richter representatives. The Richter Campus Recruitment team was warm and friendly, and I knew right away that if I had the opportunity, I would love to be part of that team. Being a Richter Ambassador allows me to help other students going through the recruitment process experience the same feelings that I did, and it allows me to represent Richter and all the amazing expertise and resources it has to offer.

What do you enjoy the most about being a Richter Ambassador? What I enjoy most about being a Richter Ambassador is meeting new people and getting to know the ones that I am working with. Not only does being an ambassador give me the chance to network with new students who are applying or who are interested in applying to the firm, but it allows me to form relationships with other Richter employees of whom I may not have otherwise bonded with. I love to share my experience with incoming employees, whilst learning about the past experiences of current Richter employees and how they got to where they are today.

Richter in one word? Camaraderie

Why did you become a Richter Ambassador? I decided to be a Richter Ambassador to share my summer internship and recruitment experience with other students and to share the experience of working at Richter and introduce it to as many students as possible.

What do you enjoy the most about being a Richter Ambassador? What I love most about being an Ambassador is the ability to return to recruiting events, but this time on Richter’s side! Answer students’ questions and even help them in their recruitment process while allowing them to experience “the Richter way”.

Richter in one word? Welcoming

Why did you become a Richter Ambassador? During the recruitment process, I often relied on the Campus Ambassadors from JMSB to offer insight into what starting work at Richter looks like. With their help, I was able to evaluate whether Richter was the right firm for me. It was clear in my mind that becoming a Richter Ambassador was the ideal opportunity for me to give students the same advice that once helped me in finding the perfect firm.

What do you enjoy the most about being a Richter Ambassador? As someone who was recently in the shoes of students looking for an internship, I still remember the anxiety and pressure that most students experience during the recruitment process. Recruitment is a period of great uncertainty and doubt because students have no idea whether their actions are leaving a lasting impression on recruiters and employees. Therefore, being able to offer some guidance and reassurance is the most rewarding part of being a Richter Ambassador.

Richter in one word? Teamwork

Why did you become a Richter Ambassador? For me, being an Ambassador means being able to offer students the same experience I had when I first started at Richter as an intern. I also want to share with the students how Richter’s corporate culture plays an important role in their professional development.

We encourage students interested in our program to reach out to any of our Ambassadors on LinkedIn. These individuals will be happy to share their experiences, answer questions or forward requests to our recruitment team.
