Michael is a respected business leader, entrepreneur and relationship builder with deep roots in Calgary and an extensive network across Canada. Known for his ability to connect with entrepreneurs, leaders and successful families, he brings a thoughtful, long-term perspective to helping clients access the right expertise, relationships and advisory platform. 

Michael will help anchor Richter’s Western Canada expansion while contributing to the firm’s broader national presence. He will play a key role in building Richter’s presence in the region and bring the firm’s distinctive Business | Family Office model closer to the entrepreneurs, privately held businesses and families driving Western Canada’s growth. 

Michael has spent more than two decades working with entrepreneurs, multigenerational families and family enterprises. He has a strong understanding of the needs of successful families and the importance of integrated advice, particularly when business, family and wealth become deeply connected. 

Before joining Richter, Michael founded and built a national platform serving successful families. He also held a senior national role focused on expanding services for successful families. Throughout his career, he has developed deep relationships across the market and a strong ability to connect clients with the right expertise, platform and long-term advisory support. 

Michael is also engaged in broader conversations about entrepreneurship, family enterprise and Canada’s economic future.
